Welcome to Wilson Island for the ultimate island getaway experience. 

The quaint island located just a short ways from Heron Island and the coast of Rockhampton is a great place for fauna enthusiasts to explore the fantastic opportunities presented by the natural beauty and location of the island.

Situated on the Great Barrier Reef, the island boasts a myriad of marine life living in and around the small coral cay. 

The beach and pristine reef environments create the perfect atmosphere for some of the diverse marine life of the barrier reef to inhabit.

Wilson Island is located approximately 8 nautical miles from the coast of Queensland, and accommodation offered is a natural permanent-tent experience. 

Each tent is luxuriously appointed, with raised timber floors, hammock and king size bed. Amenities are located in a separate building with each tent having a designated shower with private screening and dressing areas. 

Great reef walks are available, so presenting a great opportunity for you to join your hosts for a guided island or reef walk.

Location

Located off the coast of Rockhampton, the Wilson Island Experience is packaged with some accommodation on Heron Island.
