The resort is specifically designed to complement the natural assets of the site that it is built on. Many awards have been acclaimed by the Hinchinbrook Wilderness Lodge including 1st place at the HMAA Awards in July 2003, and Highly Commended at the Townsville Enterprise awards in August 2003.

Magnificent views are available from every Tree House apartment, and the Beach Houses situated just behind the beach offer peaceful sea breezes, in addition to the serene sights and sounds of the natural forest setting.

Bushwalk the magnificent palm forest surrounding the resort, and enjoy your holiday in complete isolation; away from work and the fast lane; you will enjoy complete relaxation here at Hinchinbrook.

Located to the east of Townsville, Hinchinbrook Island Resort offers the standard northern climate with pleasant temperatures all year round.

Day trips are available to Townsville and other areas of the coast.

Accommodation

There are 1 and 2 bedroom Tree Houses available; the 1 bedroom has 1 queen size bed, the 2 bedrooms having 1 queen size bed and 2 singles, except for one room which has 2 queen size beds.

Serviced daily

DVD and TV are located in the guest lounge, but to ensure complete isolation to allow complete relaxation, the tree houses are not equipped with telephones or televison.
