Great
Barrier Reef
is the largest coral reef in the
world made up of 2,500 separate
reefs. It stretches 2,000 km
from the northern tip of the
continental shelf south to
Bundaberg and encompasses
350,000 square kilometres of the
Pacific Ocean. Along the
northeastern Australian coast,
the reef is thriving in clear,
shallow, coastal waters of
tropical seas, coral reefs
boasting a diversity of species
rivaled only by that of tropical
rain forests.

the World Heritage listed Great
Barrier Reef supports an amazing
magnitude of life with 1,500
species of fish, 350 different
types of coral, 4,000 species of
molluscs and 10,000 species of
sponges. With this intensity of

ranging from 22 – 28 degrees
throughout the year ensuring
