Most of the 74 islands are uninhabited, however a few have island resorts located in their midst; Hamilton, Daydream, Lindeman, Hayman, Great Keppel, Long, Orpheus and Dunk Islands make up these inhabited wonderlands. Whitsunday Island is the largest of the group with camping areas but no resort facilities are located on this island.
